It is time

Inspired by a good friend and inspirational woman, Milk Maid Marian, I have set up this blog to share the challenges and joys we experience as we work towards building our sustainable home and working mixed farm business.  I say work towards as I believe that everything is a work in progress and that nothing is ever truly complete.

My husband and I, along with our two gorgeous children moved from Melbourne to South Gippsland in mid 2007 to enjoy the beauty of country life.  With our eyes wide open, my husband's family own a large dairy farm, we set out to build our own home and set up a sustainable mixed farm business on our (almost) 50 acres.  Blessed with optimism and enthusiasm we embarked on what has been a tumultuous challenge of epic proportions.
